Columbia University
Abhit Bhandari is a PhD Candidate focusing on the comparative political economy of development, as well as quantitative and formal methodology. His research explores property rights, informal institutions, and investment in sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to Columbia, he worked for the UN World Food Programme in Senegal. He holds a BA in Political Science and African Studies from Northwestern University, and is a recipient of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.
