Dr. Ali  HasanainAli Hasanain is a 2014-2016 Oxford-Princeton Global Leaders Fellow, and an Assistant Professor (on leave) at the Lahore University of Management Sciences. His research studies how Information and Communications Technology (ICT) can be applied in underdeveloped countries to improve governance and market outcomes. He also studies how individuals’ personal characteristics mediate the success of this process. Additionally, Ali has advised the Government of Punjab, the World Bank, and the Global Development Network on various public policy issues. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University in 2010. 

Researcher's Grant Projects

A pilot study using two milk quality-testing technologies investigates the potential existence of a lemons problem in the market for untreated milk in Lahore, Pakistan, as well as the impact of information interventions on both sides of the market.
