David Schönholzer

David Schönholzer is an Assistant Professor of Economics, UC Santa Cruz. He studies how public goods such as schools, roads, public safety, or public transit can be provided efficiently. His work lies primarily in public economics and political economy, with further interests in development, urban, and history. He frequently combines big spatial data with both reduced-form and structural microeconomic methods.​

He is also an affiliate of CEPR and CEGA. He completed his PhD in Economics at UC Berkeley in 2018.
