Enrico Guizzardi

Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR)

Enrico is a Research Officer at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) working in the Private Enterprise Development in Low-Income Countries (PEDL) programme. He is responsible for assisting the Scientific Coordinator with the evaluation of research proposals, the assessment of scientific progress of ongoing grants, and the output and dissemination of results from funded projects.

He previously worked as a Research Assistant for Prof. Giuliano (UCLA), Prof. Baccini (McGill) and Prof. Satyanath (NYU) on a project involving historical data from local governments in Sicily. He also collaborated with the Fondazione Rodolfo DeBenedetti on the organization of the 3rd Census of the homeless population of Milan, in early 2018, and did further research assistance for Prof. La Ferrara (Bocconi University) and Prof. Gulesci (Bocconi University).

Enrico holds a BSc in Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University, and an MSc in Economic and Social Sciences from the same institution. His Master's thesis was titled "A Salience-Based Formalization of Scarcity" and revolved around the theoretical modelling of behaviours connected to the experience of scarcity. This work allowed him to focus on his two main research interests, which are Development and Behavioural Economics.
