Frank Schilbach

Frank Schilbach is the Gary Loveman Career Development Assistant Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  His work focuses on the role of understudied correlates of poverty -- alcohol consumption, physical pain, and sleep deprivation -- in the lives of the poor, as well as the generation and diffusion of information about optimal agricultural inputs in sub-Saharan Africa. Frank received his PhD in Economics from Harvard University in 2015. Frank graduated in 2008 from Mannheim University with a Diploma in Economics and earned an M.A. in Economics from UC Berkeley in 2009.
