Giovanna D'Adda is an Assistant Professor at the University of Milan and a Research Affiliate at Fondazione CMCC-RFF European Institute for the Economy and the Environment. Her main research interests are Development Economics, Behavioral Economics and Environmental Economics. Her research combines lab and field experiments to investigate how social norms, preferences and institutions shape individual pro-social behavior. Recent research projects look at the effect of leadership on ethical conduct, of charisma on workers’ effort and of enforcement institutions on trust. Her research on environmental conservation uses lab experiments conducted in the field to study how leadership, social norms and monetary incentives influence contributions to natural resource conservation. She holds a PhD from Bocconi University.
