Isaac Mbiti

Isaac Mbiti is an Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Economics at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia (UVA), and a JPAL affiliate. Prior to teaching at UVA, he was an Assistant Professor at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Texas, He received his A.M. and Ph.D. in Economics from Brown University. His main research interests include economic development, labor economics, and demography. 

Researcher's Grant Projects

This study conducts a two-stage randomized controlled trial involving a government-sponsored apprenticeship training program to examine the impacts of apprenticeship labour inputs on different firm outcomes.
