Laura Boudreau

Laura Boudreau is an Assistant Professor in the Economics Division at Columbia Business School. Her research primarily focuses on working conditions, labor rights, and firm productivity in developing countries. She is especially interested in how the intersection of global supply chains with local institutions affect firms’ and workers’ outcomes and how labor market institutions affect economic development. She completed her PhD in Business and Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley writing on “Multinational enforcement of labour law: Experimental evidence from Bangladesh's apparel sector”. Her research interests include Development Economics, Organizational Economics, Labour Economics, Political Economy.
