Paul Gertler is the Li Ka Shing Professor of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, where he holds appointments at the Haas School of Business and the School of Public Health. He is the Faculty Director of the Institute for Business & Social Impact, and he is also the Scientific Director of the Center for Effective Global Action. His research interests and expertise include: Health Economics, Financial Inclusion, Poverty Alleviation, Labor Markets, Early Childhood Development and Education, Impact Evaluation.
