Qian (Sindy) Li is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Economics at the University of Warwick and the International Growth Centre. She earned her PhD in Economics from Stanford University.
Through a field experiment, this project tries to assess whether providing the infrastructure for information sharing among lenders and borrowers improves credit market efficiency, between SMEs and their suppliers in Kenya.
In developing countries financial frictions hinder firm growth. Credit constraints result from poor contract enforcement and asymmetric information in the credit market.
