Ravindra Ramrattan (1983-2013) was a Research Economist at Financial Sector Deepening in Kenya. He previously worked with Innovations for Poverty Action in Kenya where he tested the impact of cash transfers on low income sugarcane farmers in the west of Kenya. Ravi joined Financial Sector Deepening in Kenya in 2011 where he was in charge of its growing quantitative research programme on household, SME and digital finance. He held a Masters in Financial Economics at the University of Oxford and an MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from the London School of Economics. Ravi's promising career was sadly cut-short during the terrorist attack at Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya in September 2013.
