Samuel Mhlanga

University of Swaziland

Dr Samuel Mhlanga is the Director of University Planning Centre at the University of Swaziland. Prior to this position, he has been involved in a number of entrepreneurial activities such as being part of a company Global Business Services (PTY) Ltd where he provided services on Strategic Planning, Product Development and Fundraising for SMMEs. He has also provided his services as an economics specialist to a number of private consultancies on various development projects in Swaziland. He holds a PhD in Industrial Dynamics from the University of Stellenbosch and a MA in Economic Development and Policy Analysis from the University of Nottingham.

This project aims to bring a firm-level dataset collected by the Central Statistical Office (CSO) in Swaziland to the broader research domain, to standardize the data series over time and provide documentation to allow for the use of this data by a larger community of researchers.
