Seema Jayachandran

Seema Jayachandran is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Northwestern University. Her work focuses primarily on health in developing countries, and she also has research interests in education, labor markets, the environment, and political economy. She is currently conducting randomized evaluations in Uganda, Zambia, and India related to child health, environmental conservation, and gender attitudes. She is an affiliate of the National Bureau of Economic Research and a board member and chair of the Gender Sector for the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab. Seema received her PhD in Economics from Harvard University.
