Shamyla Chaudry

Lahore School of Economics

Shamyla Chaudry is an assistant professor in Economics and Business Administration at the Lahore School of Economics. She has an MSc in Economics and Management from the Lahore School and a BA in Economics and Literature from Kinnaird College. She teaches Introductory courses on Economics, Macro Economics I, Macro Economics II and Environmental Economics at the Lahore School. She has done research work on the Surgical Goods Industry Sector and various Labor issues in Pakistan. Shamyla has worked on the ILO Socio-Economic Security Programme as a Contributor for the Pakistan Region. She is currently involved with research on the economic aspects of cousin marriages. She has worked with the Punjab Bureau of Statistics in conducting primary data collection for the Punjab Consanguinity survey 2009-2010. she is currently working with Professors at Yale and Columbia on the 'Analysis of Technology in the Sialkot Soccer Ball Industry'.
