Simon Franklin is a Lecturer at the School of Economics at Queen Mary University of London. He was previously a Postdoctoral Research Economist at the London School of Economics, at the Centre for Economic Performance, where he was part of a programme of research on Urbanisation in Africa. He received his DPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford in 2015, where he remains a Research Associate at the Centre for the Study of African Economies.
