Lore Vandewalle is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies and one of the members of the recently created Centre for Finance and Development.

My research focuses on microfinance and savings behavior in Indian rural areas, but I am interested in development economics in general, and in applied econometrics.

This project will study one potential explanation behind female owned enterprises showing lower returns than their male counterparts: lack of access to childcare services.
