Gilles Duranton is the Dean's Chair in Real Estate Professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and is the Chair of the Real Estate Department. Prior to arriving at the University of Pennsylvania in 2013, he held academic positions at the University of Toronto and the London School of Economics. He received his PhD from the London School of Economics. He is also co-editor of the Journal of Urban Economics and the Handbook fo Regional and Urban Economics, as well as an editorial board member of several other journals.
