Lauren Waring

Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR)

Lauren is the Projects and Research Officer at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). She is responsible for the management and administration of the PEDL programme. She manages the Major Research Grants and works with grantees in complying with budget and contract requirements. Lauren is also responsible for the assessment of scientific progress of all ERG and MRG ongoing grants and the output and dissemination of results from funded projects.

 

Prior to this, Lauren worked as the Programme Officer for RedR UK, an international capacity-building NGO that provides humanitarian training and technical support. She was responsible for the administration and management of training programmes worldwide.

 

Lauren holds a MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Oxford. Her Master’s thesis was on the dispute between Timor-Leste and Australia over maritime boundaries and gas reserves, and the relationship between those resources and Timorese development. She also holds a Honours Bachelor’s degree in Indonesian Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Political, Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Sydney.
