Marco holds a hold a Phd in Development Economics at the University of Florence, and is currently an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Turin, an Affiliate at the Collegio Carlo Alberto, an Associate Research Fellow in Globalisation and Development at the Institute of Development Policy, University of Antwerp, and a Programme Associate and Visiting Researcher with the Global Governance Programme at the European University Institute. His work tries to understand the drivers of private sector development in low-income countries using firm and individual level data.
