Wameq A Raza

Wameq A. Raza is an applied micro-economist interested in poverty and health outcomes with experience in impact evaluation using experimental and quasi-experimental methods in developing countries. He is currently working as an Economist at the World Bank in the Poverty and Equity Global Practice. Previously he served as a Thematic Research Head (Poverty and Financial Inclusion) at BRAC International in Uganda, overseeing quantitative research and evaluation work in nine countries.

He has a BA in economics from Ithaca College, NY (cum laude), a MA in Development Economics from the University of Sussex, UK and a PhD in Development/Health Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
